Happy Monday, part 1

I had THE best Monday. Like most people, I despise them, but this week was a definite exception. It was so great, I'm gonna have to do multiple postings on my fabulous day so stay tuned! Here's #1:

One of the things I love about my job are the wonderful people I meet. It usually starts with a consultation, they tell me about their business, their upcoming wedding, their likes and dislikes, etc. in order to give me an idea of how to create something custom for them. This lovely lady is Moriya, who is quickly becoming one of my new favorite people. I recently designed and printed her wedding invitations. She and her fiance, Jonathan, both live in New York city and we've never met in person, just over the phone until this week.

They're in town on business, and Moriya thought to invite me to join her wine tasting in Napa. We thought this would be a great way to finally meet and talk about the upcoming wedding and her future business ventures as a sommelier. What better way to get inspired than to go wine tasting?

Our first stop was lunch at Bouchon. Besides their incredible food and service, I LOVE the design aesthetic of this resaturant. From their playful logo to the interior decor to the merchandising of the pastries, definitely lots to look at and enjoy.

Their logo printed on clear parchment paper and was used to cover the butter on our table. Genius.

This is the second time I've been here for lunch and it's been amazing both times. I'll definitely be back for more--how can you not when your lunch comes looking like this?

They have their own bakery nextdoor from the restaurant which is a slice of heaven! One whiff of the pastries and I've just about died.
