Occupy Shop!

My good friend Camille (who used to intern here and is on my speed-dial of go-to people when I'm in a bind) came in this week to print signs for Occupy Wall Street.

Stencils for Mexico

I have a huge love for making stencils--they're quick, easy, affordable and have that distinct handmade look. I find them really useful for one-off signage, perfect for events. A couple of weeks ago we made these for a client who just got married in Tulum, Mexico. The ladies over at AE looped me into the project and they will eventually post pics on their blog. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share our process in making their wedding-day signage.

This was a joint effort between me and the girls: I designed them, Lauren cut the stencils out (I think this was her last task before leaving the shop--thanks Lauren!), and Camille spray painted.

Idora Sign

I mentioned before that Anjel and I designed a logo for a landscape company named, Idora. This project was really special to us because it was the last the last thing we collaborated on and that we both were truly proud of the outcome. The concept and the design fell into place and we couldn't ask for a better client than Christine. She gave us a lot of creative freedom and was on board throughout the whole process.

So I was super excited to see that Christine made this awesome sign and just posted on her blog here! Way to go lady :)

Starbucks Construction Signage

I was in Seattle last month and noticed this construction site that made me stop to take a look at it as opposed to ignoring them like I usually do. Great solution for temporary signage going on here...
